Paradigm Mechanical CEO Melinda Dicharry SD Metro 40 Under 40 Honoree

San Diego October 3, 2014 — Paradigm Mechanical Corp., a woman-owned small business mechanical contracting company, Founder and CEO Melinda Dicharry was honored by the SD Metro magazine as 40 Under 40 Class of 2014 honoree.

The 14th annual 40 Under 40 awards ceremony honored 40 men and women under the age of 40 who have excelled in their professional lives as well as contributed to their professional trade and local community. Teran Breceda, current president of NAWIC San Diego Chapter #21 and owner of Breceda Landscape, nominated Dicharry for the prestigious honor.

Dicharry, family and company representatives attended the 40 Under 40 celebration luncheon on October 3, at the Sheraton Hotel & Marina in San Diego. In addition to being publicly recognized during the program with a brief bio slide show, Dicharry is profiled in the September SD Metro issue as well as online, worldwide, at sandiegometro.com.

Honorees were selected based on their personal accomplishments, community involvement and career achievements. In a male-dominated industry, Dicharry launched Paradigm Mechanical Corp. an HVAC mechanical company, and has achieved 2,349% growth over the last three years. Paradigm made the 2014 Inc. 500 list and was one of Inc.’s top 10 fastest growing women-led companies in America. In addition Paradigm ranked 17 on the San Diego Business Journal’s 2014 Top 100 Fastest Growing Private Companies list. Dicharry was a finalist in the San Diego Business Journal CEO of the Year award program. Most recently, her colleagues and peers at National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC), San Diego Chapter #21 named her the organization’s 2014 Member of the Year.

Dicharry has made it a point to give back to her community. She joined the National Association of Women in Construction San Diego Chapter #21 in 2010, and she is currently the President-elect. Through her work at NAWIC with the committees she heads up – the organization directly gives back to the local region. In addition her company, Paradigm Mechanical Corp., supports the Boys and Girls Clubs of East San Diego, City of Hope and Make-a-Wish Foundation.
