Melinda Dicharry

CEO and President

Melinda Dicharry founded Paradigm Mechanical Corp. on the principles of setting the standard for the industry. As a proven 10-year construction industry leader, Melinda’s goal is to exceed customers’ expectations. She builds solid partnerships with clients, engineers, designers, subcontractors, and vendors to deliver a quality product on time — under the owner’s budget.

Melinda grew up in an entrepreneurial environment. She has incorporated innovative thinking in all of her career positions – gaining a wealth of experience in construction insurance, bonding, finance, consulting and management. In the controller position of a large San Diego HVAC mechanical contractor, she saw opportunities existed for a company that would use project team experience, technical knowledge, and creativity to address and implement solutions to any challenge a building project might present. Herein lays one of her inherent strengths – and what sets Melinda’s team of subject-matter experts at Paradigm Mechanical Corp. apart from all of the rest.

Melinda was honored by the SD Metro magazine as a 40 Under 40 Class of 2014 honoree. The 14th annual 40 Under 40 awards ceremony honored 40 men and women under the age of 40 who have excelled in their professional lives as well as contributed to their professional trade and local community. In addition, Melinda received the 2014 Member of the Year award from the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) San Diego Chapter #21.

Paradigm ranked #17 on the San Diego Business Journal’s 2014 Top 100 Fastest Growing Companies list and #18 on the 2014 San Diego Business Journal Woman-Owned Business List. Inc. Magazine recognized Paradigm’s three-year sales growth of 2,349.54%. The increase qualified Paradigm for the prestigious No. 168 rank on the 2014 Inc. 500 list. In addition, the company was recognized as one of the top 10 women-led companies on the list, as well as No. 4 on the list of top construction industry companies and No. 3 out of the 113 San Diego metro companies to make the Inc. 500 | 5000 list.

In 2013 Melinda was honored by the San Diego Business Journal as a finalist in the 20th Annual Woman Who Means Business and the 7th Annual Most Admired CEO award competitions. Her recognition was in part achieved by leading Paradigm Mechanical Corp. to report 1990 percent growth over its first three years in business.

Melinda is a Certified Construction Industry Financial Professional (CCIFP). She currently serves as the 2014-2015 President-Elect of the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC), San Diego Chapter #21.
